留学生の介護福祉士国家試験合格率向上に向けて
パターン化させた暗記対策が及ぼす効果

本研究は、増加する外国人介護人材の専門性向上を目的とし、留学生の介護福祉士国家試験合格率の低迷という課題に取り組むものである。特に、日本語能力試験N2未取得者を中心とした留学生に対し、短期間で効果が期待できる暗記中心の学習支援プログラムを設計・実施し、その有効性を検証した。対象は、本校の留学生のうち模擬試験で特定の基準に満たなかった者である。2024年10月から４ヶ月間、アクティブリコールやプロテジェ効果などの学習科学の知見を取り入れた補足授業を実施した。その結果、参加者の国家試験平均点は模擬試験から16点上昇し、半数近くが合格に至った。アンケート調査からは、学生主体の能動的な学習（アウトプット）や、定着度を確認する小テストが学習効果とモチベーション維持に寄与したことが示唆された。本研究の結果は、留学生の日本語レベルのみを問題とするのではなく、個々の学習状況に合わせた科学的根拠に基づく指導法を導入することが、合格率向上に不可欠であることを示している。

Abstract
This study addresses the low passing rate of international students on the Certified Care Worker National Examination, aiming to enhance the professional skills of the growing number of foreign caregivers in Japan. We designed and implemented a short-term, memory-focused learning support program for international students, particularly those who had not yet passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test （JLPT） N2.
The program, which ran for four months starting in October 2024, was based on learning science principles such as active recall and the protégé effect. We provided supplementary classes to students at our institution who had not met a specific benchmark on a practice exam.
The results of this study indicate that, rather than focusing exclusively on an international student’s Japanese proficiency, it is essential to adopt scientifically grounded teaching methods that address individual learning needs in order to improve international students’ pass rates.
These findings suggest that simply focusing on a student’s Japanese language level is insufficient. Instead, the introduction of evidence-based teaching methods tailored to individual learning needs is crucial for improving the passing rate for international students.
