能喩の中の児童文学
―村上春樹と児童文学Ⅰ―

村上春樹が一見意外に見える児童文学からの影響を大きく受けていることを確かめるためには、彼自身の児童文学に対する発言を攫っていくことや、彼が多く為している絵本の翻訳が持つ意味を探ること、等の有効なアプローチがあるが、春樹の文学の大きな特徴の一つとされている直喩について考えることからも、彼における児童文学の影響の大きさを明らかにすることができるはずである。なぜなら直喩とは眼前の喩えられるもの（所喩）に、今ここにないもの（能喩）を重ねていくレトリックであるが、小説作品を中心にした彼の文学の全業績の中から、能喩部分に内外古今の児童文学作品が嵌めこまれている例を拾い上げていくことで、単に彼が多くの児童文学作品を読んできたという読書歴を炙り出すだけでなく、彼が自らの世界（所喩）を構築するにあたっていかに児童文学作品世界（能喩）をその下敷きに入れているかという間テクスト性に思いを及ぼすことができるはずだからである。

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to confirm that Murakami Haruki is strongly affected by children’s literature. There are several effective approaches we could take, such as collating Murakami’s remarks on children’s literature or considering the meaning of his picture book translations. In this study, we clarify the great influence children’s literature had on Murakami by considering the similes employed in Murakami’s literary works, one of their chief characteristics. A simile is a form of rhetoric that overlaps what is in front of you （the tenor） with something that is not here now （the vehicle）. From the entire body of Murakami’s literature, we select similes for which the vehicle is children’s literature. The results should show not only the fact that Murakami read a great deal of children’s literature, but also the intertextuality of children’s literature in his own literary works.
